Uncovered Wells RSS

I relit my chest— the fractured light spinning—red! a dusting thread of flowers settled among the churn. Robin’s eggs—embers fall before—split! wide open— a rush— noise like trees burning, ending—then dreaming of uncovered wells.

Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish it’s source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.

Lilac Wine - Jeff Buckley

Truely one of the most beautiful songs, on this man’s desert isle discs collection for sure, and this is one of the most wonderful renditions by Jeff Buckley.  It’s beyond tragic that we didn’t see his career blossom into full.  The Saturday tune for pondering and all things deeply thought, from the Flimwell Papers collection.

I love this song.

Awesome bookart. I’m not a fan of Nick Hornby though. The title’s awesome too.

The hurt is not enough:
I long for weight and strength
To feel the earth as rough
To all my length.

I’d buy this if I could: Philadelphia designer Mikey Burton’s thesis project is an integrated branding campaign based around the illustrative reinterpretation of classic book covers directed toward junior-high students. The rest of his portfolio is equally polished. (via Grain Edit)

This is awesome. I want those copies.
